Our role and homeowner information

We publish an independent installer directory and homeowner guides. We sell business directory services; we do not install equipment, arrange installation contracts, sell homeowner leads, or receive contractor referral commissions. We are not a government agency, rebate administrator, manufacturer, insurer, or trade regulator.

Guides, calculators, warranty summaries, and AI responses provide general planning information. They are not a site assessment, heat-loss design, safety inspection, legal or financial advice, or a rebate approval. AI output may be inaccurate. Confirm current program rules with the official provider and equipment, permits, electrical work, warranty coverage, and installation suitability with qualified professionals.

You contract with an installer directly. We do not guarantee rebates, savings, prices, availability, workmanship, insurance coverage, contractor conduct, or installation outcomes. A directory badge or review does not replace your own checks.

Business accounts and listings

You must be authorized to act for a business when claiming a listing or buying services for it. Keep account credentials secure and business information accurate. A free listing or paid upgrade does not bypass ownership, publication, or content review. Public-source business information may appear without an owner account; contact support to request a correction or discuss removal.

We may restrict content or listing visibility for inaccurate information, impersonation, unlawful material, misuse, or an unresolved ownership or verification issue. Ask support for the reason and correction or review options. Hiding a listing alone does not cancel a subscription; manage billing separately.

Verification review and badges

A one-time verification purchase pays for a manual business-information review. Payment does not award approval. Checks cover business identity and contact consistency, insurance or WCB details when supplied, and relevant partner listings when applicable. Review timing depends on complete information and any follow-up.

A dated approval on a published listing allows the approved claim owner to access a website badge kit. Verification is issued by this directory and does not imply government, manufacturer, professional, or rebate-program certification. It is not a guarantee of quality or continuous insurance coverage. Status may be reviewed or withdrawn when information changes or evidence needs review.

Keep badges linked to the current public verification record. Downloaded artwork is a snapshot and must be replaced or removed if status changes. Do not modify a badge to imply broader checks or endorsement. See the verification methodology.

Paid placement, prices and renewals

Featured and Promotion are paid placement services. Sponsored labels identify paid listings. Payment affects priority when visitors select Featured first; default Google-rating results and regional rating lists use rating and review information. No plan guarantees enquiries, traffic, leads, sales, or exclusive territory.

Prices are in Canadian dollars. Checkout shows the selected price, billing interval, and applicable charges before payment. Verification alone is a one-time charge. Featured, Promotion, and the annual Verified + Featured bundle renew on their displayed schedule until cancelled. The bundle includes an initial review; renewal does not promise a fresh verification approval each year.

Read the billing, cancellation and refund policy before buying. Use Manage billing in your portal to stop future renewal, or contact support if you cannot access it. Listing removal, hiding, or a marketing unsubscribe does not by itself cancel billing.

Submitted content and acceptable use

You retain your rights in content you submit. You give us permission to store, review, format, and display that content as necessary for the listing or report service, subject to your publication choices and our privacy policy. Do not submit material you lack permission to use, confidential documents, false claims, defamatory accusations, fake reviews, or other people’s unnecessary personal information.

Do not impersonate others, misuse accounts, bypass access controls, send spam, or disrupt the service. Third-party logos, reviews, images and trademarks belong to their owners. Our permission to display them does not give visitors unrestricted rights to reuse them. See our community guidelines.

Google Maps features

Use of Google Maps features and content is also subject to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service. Do not scrape, extract, or republish Google content outside permitted uses. Google content remains subject to its applicable rights and attribution requirements.

Service limitations and legal rights

Information and third-party services may change, contain errors, or become unavailable. We take reasonable steps to review corrections, but cannot promise uninterrupted service or the conduct of third parties. Contact support about inaccurate content, failed fulfilment, or billing errors.

Nothing in these terms excludes a right or remedy that applicable law does not allow us to exclude, or removes our own legal obligations. Disclaimers do not replace accurate representations or proper delivery of a purchased service. These terms are governed by Nova Scotia law and applicable Canadian federal law, subject to any mandatory protections that apply to you.

Changes and contact

We date and version these terms. Changes do not retroactively change a completed purchase or authorize a new charge. Material changes to an ongoing paid service need appropriate notice; new purchases record the version agreed to at checkout.
