Seen a Nova Scotia Efficiency Rebates ad offering up to $6,500? The linked websites describe an installer promotion. Here’s what the offer includes and what to check before booking.
Is Nova Scotia Efficiency Rebates a government program?
The linked websites say the offer is not a government program. Their FAQ describes an independent installer offer and disclaims affiliation with Efficiency Nova Scotia or government rebate programs.
The important distinction: an installer discount reduces the seller’s price; a government rebate depends on separate program rules. The advertising page’s name does not establish government affiliation. Offer-page explanation, checked October 16, 2026.

How the ad journey works
- The ads: Meta’s Ad Library displayed three ads under Nova Scotia Efficiency Rebates, promoting up to $6,500.
- The linked websites: each ad’s expanded assets listed a landing page describing the private offer. You can inspect all three links above.
- The booking destination: all three websites linked to the same installer-branded consultation calendar.
We verified those listed links, without submitting a lead or booking. That does not establish what happens after every ad click.
What makes up the $6,500?
The rebates-and-savings website gives this example:
- $2,000 supplier equipment discount passed through to the customer.
- $1,250 per additional indoor head.
- $750 for an eligible senior or listed community occupation, once per household.
For a qualifying four-head system: $2,000 + (3 × $1,250) + $750 = $6,500 off.
That is the seller’s explanation, not independently verified savings. We have not substantiated its regular installed price or supplier arrangement. The first two websites also use inconsistent wording about whether the first head counts. Ask for your itemized cash price and exact eligibility in writing.
What should you clarify?
| Wording observed | What the evidence supports | What to clarify |
|---|---|---|
| “Up to $6,500” | A conditional discount example on the linked website. | Your actual discount and total installed price. |
| “Rebates are gone” | OHPA intake closed; other provincial pathways remain listed. | Which program? Check the official links below. |
| “No waitlist. Limited time.” | A claim about the private offer; capacity and expiry were not verified. | Written installation date and offer expiry. |
| “Cash Or Monthly Payment” | One website presents a payment choice. We found no evidence financing is required. | Cash versus financed price, APR, term, fees and total paid. |
Ad wording comes from the screenshots above; payment wording comes from the linked offer page. A private promotion is not necessarily unlawful because it uses “rebate”; the Competition Bureau explains why the type of benefit, its conditions and an ad’s overall impression matter.
Who is behind the advertising page?
All three offer websites linked to a booking page displaying MADA Construction branding when we checked them. That is a verified booking connection. It does not establish that the contractor owns, created or paid for the ads. The advertising page’s legal owner and payer remain unverified.

Which official rebates can you check?
Sources checked October 16, 2026:
- HomeWarming: no-cost approved upgrades for eligible lower-income homeowners, following assessment.
- Moderate Income Rebate and Home Energy Assessment: up to $5,000 each, combinable up to $10,000 for qualifying upgrades. These are program caps, not a guaranteed heat pump payment.
- OHPA: closed to new Nova Scotia applicants July 2, 2026. Existing applicants should contact the administrator about their file.
- National Heat Pump Rebate: announced October 8 and described as upcoming in the official information reviewed. Do not assume a purchase qualifies before final rules are available.
Our 2026 rebate guide explains the pathways. A private sales assessment does not replace any assessment or approval required by an official program.
Before you book or sign
- Confirm official eligibility before installation. Ask who operates the offer, installs the equipment and receives your details.
- Get comparable written quotes: cash price, every discount, taxes, fees and any financing terms. A manufacturer promotion has its own conditions; a loan must be repaid.
- Ask for exact model numbers, a heat-loss calculation or sizing explanation, electrical work, permits and warranties. Compare independent installers using the same scope.
- Keep SIN and banking details off marketing landing pages. Verify the recipient before sharing sensitive documents.
